Requirements
- High school sophomore, junior, or senior that is 16 years of age or older
- True Tutor GPA of 4.0 (weighted) or 3.7 (unweighted) - Click here to calculate your True Tutor GPA
- Ability to work at least 3 days a week; ability to work more days is advantageous
- Resident of a zone we serve or willing/able to drive into a zone - Click here for our service zones
- Agreement to our Diversity Policy and Privacy Policy
- Ability to check for communication at least once per day
- Depending on how you authorize us to contact you, this will be text, email, or both
- Ability to arrange self-provided transportation to anywhere within your zone
- Incurred costs, such as bus, gas, rideshare, etc., won't be reimbursed

- Recommendation from a superior (teacher, coach, former employer) that can speak to the applicant's academic strengths & abilities

- Leadership & management experience -- 6 months (or 1 semester, as applicable) minimum required
- Examples include (and are not limited to) club moderator/president, team captain, Eagle Scout, etc.
- Completion of a business related class or the ability to prove knowledge of business fundamentals (acquired from self-teaching, family, clubs, etc.)
- Advantageous but not required

Responsibilities
- Customer Acquisition
- Area Operators will work throughout the school year to acquire customers that reside within their area/service zone. This includes, and is not limited to: speaking to small/large groups at conferences and school meetings, publishing/submitting True Tutor-supplied marketing materials to advertise, hanging up flyers, and communicating with public service centers (such as libraries)
- Area Operators will lead a team of Marketing Associates that will work directly with the Area Operator to acquire customers
- Area Operators will offer personal follow-up emails after tutoring sessions, offer to consider any suggestions, review feedback, and ensure that customers continue to renew their services with True Tutor, LLC
- Tutor & Marketing Associate Acquisition
- Area Operators will assemble a team of Tutors and Marketing Associates that will become the backbone of their zone's operations
- This is an ongoing process, adjusting the size of the team as business demands increase/decrease
- This process includes leading interviews, informational meetings, training, and more
- Team Management
- Area Operators will be directly responsible for their team. This includes, and is not limited to: ensuring that tutors/marketing associates follow all policies & procedures; terminating/suspending team members for behavioral reasons; actively communicating with the team; enforcing deadlines
- Area Operators should promote acceptance and diversity amongst their team members, primarily serving as an open-minded leader that seriously considers & implements the suggestions of their team.
- Upkeep
- Area Operators will routinely make tutoring sessions (via template lesson plans), coordinate date/time/meeting location between customer & tutor, manage customers' recurring billing profiles, and manage a budget for their zone
Compensation
- 80% of your zone's profits
- Profits to be dispensed on the 1st and 15th of every month
- Complete financial; sales/expenses/profit/payroll transparency
- Hour-long tutoring sessions yield a $6.25-12.00 profit, depending on the package the customer bought
- Less for promotional offers
- About 3/4 of tutoring sessions purchased will yield $6.25 in profit
- You will use your profits to pay for paid advertising as you see fit. We will supply the materials.
- This is not a franchise program; no monetary investment is required of our Area Operators
- Likewise, package prices/discounts and promotions/team member wages are locked-in and not adjustable by an Area Operator for their particular zone
